sunday night in the bernard shaw saw the debut irish show from brooklyn's blondes.

the setting and timing was perfect for their show, and the last few days have been spent listening to their new album 'blondes' on repeat.

so for our third track of the year, we are gonna swipe 'hater' off the album ...

enjoy ... 2012#003

few songs have gripped us in recent times like machinedrum's sx lnd - first heard on a rustie mix from sonar 2010.

so we've been waiting for this to drop for some time now, and finally the awesome luckyme crew have released it.

it sounds like he's reworked that original version, but it's still tight as fuck ... not crazy about the azealia banks version knocking about though.

: /

depending on who you ask, travis stewart battled it out with clams casino for producer of the year in 2011, so we are hoping there's lots more to come in 2012.

travis probably pipped it though just for looking like my dad dressed up as a hipster.

enjoy ... 2012#002

it has been a slow start to the year, but we finally have some albums that we can get stuck into.

the first one to really jump out at us is the debut album from spain's john talabot, ƒin, on permanent vacation.

the standout track is 'so will be now', featuring the beautiful, haunting vocals of fellow hivern discs label mate, pional.
